Pool table removal in Pearland
A pool table looks like furniture and weighs like masonry. The top is slate, often in three sections, bolted to the frame and sealed at the seams. It does not tip onto a dolly and roll out.

How a Slate Table Comes Out
- 1
Pockets and rails off
The rails bolt on from underneath; the pockets come off with them.
- 2
Felt off
The cloth is stapled or glued to the slate and usually does not survive removal.
- 3
Slate out
Each section is unscrewed from the frame, the seam wax or filler is broken, and the slate is carried flat or on edge by two people.
- 4
Frame and legs
The frame comes apart into its beams and legs, and everything goes out in pieces.
Game Rooms Upstairs
Two-story houses in Pearland’s 1990s and 2000s subdivisions, Silverlake and Shadow Creek Ranch among them, often have a game room on the second floor, and that is where pool tables end up. Every piece has to come down a staircase with a turn in it. Say so when you call; it is the single biggest thing that changes the crew and the quote.
If You Want to Keep It
Removal is not relocation
Hauling a table away to be disposed of and moving it to a new house to be set up again are different jobs. Setting one up level with the seams filled and the felt restretched is work for a billiards technician. If the table is going to a new home, call one of those first.
Asked About This One
Can a pool table be donated?
Sometimes, if it is complete and the slate is not cracked. Most people who want one also want it delivered and leveled, so check before it is taken apart.
Is the slate recyclable?
It is stone. Ask the contractor where it goes; some is reused, much of it is landfilled.
How do I know if it is slate?
Tap the playing surface: slate sounds solid and cold. Lighter tables with a wood or composite bed can often go out in one piece.
