Yard waste and brush removal in Pearland

Pearland’s curbside service handles ordinary yard waste well. It stops at a size and a volume, and everything past that line is what people call a hauler for: big limbs, a hedge taken out at once, a backyard cleared before a sale.

What the City’s hauler takes

The Curbside Line

Frontier Waste Solutions collects tied brush bundles and bagged green waste on bulk and brush day, up to two cubic yards or 12 to 15 large bags. It does not take tree limbs over 4 inches in diameter or 49 inches long, and it does not take rocks, dirt or concrete. Piles over two yards can be picked up by special arrangement, at a cost quoted by Frontier.

When to call

What Goes Past It

Limbs thicker than 4 inches

Too big for the brush truck. A hauler loads them as they are, or a tree service cuts and chips them.

Whole-yard clearouts

Overgrown fence lines, a removed hedge row, years of leaves behind a shed. More than two yards at once.

Mixed loads

Brush mixed with old fencing, pavers or a broken play set, none of which the brush truck takes.

Storm debris

After a Storm

Hauling is not tree work

A crew with a truck can load branches that are already down and on the ground. A limb hanging in a tree, resting on a roof or touching a power line is not a hauling job. Call a tree service for the first two and the utility for the third, and stay clear of it.

After a named storm, the City sometimes runs its own debris collection with separate rules. Follow the City’s announcements at that time rather than any general guide.

Questions

Asked About This One

Can I just leave a big pile at the curb?

Not for regular pickup if it is over the two-yard limit or has limbs over 4 inches. Frontier will quote a special pickup, or a hauler can take it.

Do they take palm fronds and cactus?

Usually, yes. Mention them; they are awkward to bag and handle.

What about dirt or sod from a project?

The curb does not take dirt. Some haulers do, priced by weight; ask.
